Depending on project needs, we either manage the full approval process on behalf of researchers or provide targeted support for specific stages.
Ethics Review & IRB Coordination
We facilitate Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals to ensure compliance with international and local research ethics standards. REMIT hosts an accredited internal Institutional Scientific and Ethics Review Committee (ISERC) that conducts independent scientific and ethical review for research studies.
In-Country Research Permits & Local Authorizations
We coordinate national research permits and regulatory approvals required to conduct studies in-country. REMIT can also serve as a local affiliate institution for international researchers, supporting compliance with national research regulations in Kenya.
Multi-Country Regulatory Coordination
For cross-country studies, we manage and align ethics approvals and government permits across jurisdictions, ensuring regulatory processes move efficiently while meeting each country’s requirements.
